AOL acquired by Verizon (VZ) for $50 per share

: On May 12, 2015,
Verizon Communications (VZ)
announced plans to buy AOL for $50 per share in a deal valued at $4.4 billion. The acquisition was completed on June 23, 2015. (In 2000, AOL purchased Time Warner for US$164 billion.)
