VALENCIA, Calif. (AP) _ MannKind Corp. (MNKD) on Tuesday reported a third-quarter loss of $32.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Valencia, California-based company said it had a loss of 31 cents.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $2 million in the period.

In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $3.22. A year ago, they were trading at $2.20.
