U.S. prosecutors charge Super Micro cofounder Wally Liaw over alleged $2.5B diversion of Nvidia-powered servers to China

• Super Micro says 3 associated individuals were indicted over alleged export-control violations; the company is not named defendant.
• Company placed cofounder Wally Liaw and two employees on administrative leave, and terminated a contractor linked to the case.
• The indictment was unsealed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
• Super Micro says it continues cooperating with the U.S. government investigation into the export-control matter.
